Artist's Description

This mainly acrylic painting was another of my experiments on a large canvas using a variety of textures, papers, stamps, and collage materials . It is effective both vertically and horizontally. If viewed vertically, the dominant feature appears to be flowing water. If turned horizontally, the piece could be showing a cross or a crossing to a small blue building on the upper left hand side. It is up to you to decide which way is more pleasing.

Following a long and successful career as an educator/administrator, Myra has focused her time, energy and talents on watercolor painting. Her other passions also include a life-long love of playing classical music on the piano. She believes that her love of music, along with foreign travel and photography have contributed and enhanced her artistic development. Myra's art training includes numerous courses at Haliburton School for the Arts, Loyalist College, and the Blue Mt. School of Painting, studying with Jack Reid, Jacques Hebert, Art Cunanan, and Brian Smith. In addition, she has been an active participant in many watercolor workshops in Ontario and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, having the opportunity to work with respected...
