Artist's Description
This is another of my Pierrot portraits done on a 12 x12 canvas using acrylic paint. In this painting I used water-colour techniques to create the loose, expressionistic background. By spraying water on a red underpainting, and dropping in some black paint on top, the background almost paints itself.
About Myra Evans
Following a long and successful career as an educator/administrator, Myra has focused her time, energy and talents on watercolor painting. Her other passions also include a life-long love of playing classical music on the piano. She believes that her love of music, along with foreign travel and photography have contributed and enhanced her artistic development. Myra's art training includes numerous courses at Haliburton School for the Arts, Loyalist College, and the Blue Mt. School of Painting, studying with Jack Reid, Jacques Hebert, Art Cunanan, and Brian Smith.
