This is one of my favourite water-colour portraits, inspired by a photograph I took while on a trip to India. Most of my best photographs came from the Northern Province of Rajistan. Everywhere I went, I was greeted by "Namaste". This elderly gentleman had the most kindly expression and just wonderful eyes. I never tire of looking at this painting.
Following a long and successful career as an educator/administrator, Myra has focused her time, energy and talents on watercolor painting. Her other passions also include a life-long love of playing classical music on the piano. She believes that her love of music, along with foreign travel and photography have contributed and enhanced her artistic development. Myra's art training includes numerous courses at Haliburton School for the Arts, Loyalist College, and the Blue Mt. School of Painting, studying with Jack Reid, Jacques Hebert, Art Cunanan, and Brian Smith.
