After visiting Newfoundland, Canada last summer I was inspired to create this painting. I was amazed at seeing icebergs floating offshore in July. The best times for seeing icebergs in Newfoundland is June and July. You can see three small icebergs behind the houses in the upper right hand corner of my paintings. I designed the rest of the piece to "flow" from the collaged piece.
Following a long and successful career as an educator/administrator, Myra has focused her time, energy and talents on watercolor painting. Her other passions also include a life-long love of playing classical music on the piano. She believes that her love of music, along with foreign travel and photography have contributed and enhanced her artistic development. Myra's art training includes numerous courses at Haliburton School for the Arts, Loyalist College, and the Blue Mt. School of Painting, studying with Jack Reid, Jacques Hebert, Art Cunanan, and Brian Smith.
