Artist's Description

On a trip to India in the state of Rajistan I took a photograph of a man who was looking back at me. He appeared to view me with suspicion but it could have been curiosity. I painted this vibrant portrait using my photo as inspiration. The painting is a mixture of textures, acrylic and water-colour.

Myra Evans

Following a long and successful career as an educator/administrator, Myra has focused her time, energy and talents on watercolor painting. Her other passions also include a life-long love of playing classical music on the piano. She believes that her love of music, along with foreign travel and photography have contributed and enhanced her artistic development. Myra's art training includes numerous courses at Haliburton School for the Arts, Loyalist College, and the Blue Mt. School of Painting, studying with Jack Reid, Jacques Hebert, Art Cunanan, and Brian Smith. In addition, she has been an active participant in many watercolor workshops in Ontario and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, having the opportunity to work with respected...
