After experimenting with texturizing canvas and paper supports with acrylic paint, I tried the same thing using water-colour. In order to texturize with this medium, I used plastic wrap, various stamps, and ink. This is more of an abstract water-colour study using complimentary colors - variations on purple/mauve and yellow gold.
Following a long and successful career as an educator/administrator, Myra has focused her time, energy and talents on watercolor painting. Her other passions also include a life-long love of playing classical music on the piano. She believes that her love of music, along with foreign travel and photography have contributed and enhanced her artistic development. Myra's art training includes numerous courses at Haliburton School for the Arts, Loyalist College, and the Blue Mt. School of Painting, studying with Jack Reid, Jacques Hebert, Art Cunanan, and Brian Smith.
